Microsoft said that Age of Empires Mobile, which has been in development for quite some time, is almost ready for release. TiMi Studios and World's Edge have revealed that Age of Empires Mobile will launch worldwide on October 17.
However, "global" does not necessarily mean every country in the world. Definitely not. Apparently, we might expect additional announcements to learn more about the "available countries and regions." That's bad, but not surprising given how app stores operate these days.
On the positive side, if you enjoy strategy games and don't mind playing on your smartphone, you'll be pleased to learn that Age of Empires Mobile was designed from the ground up for mobile and social play.
Furthermore, the game incorporates a variety of intriguing gameplay features such as different single-player modes, immersive battlefields, realistic and interactive topography, weather, and the ability to manage many soldiers with real-time micro-control.
Equally essential is the ability for players to lead their armies with a range of the world's most recognizable historical personalities. At launch, Age of Empires Mobile will feature dozens of commanders, including Barbarossa, Darius the Great, Hammurabi, Joad of Arc, and Leonidas I. Each of these renowned historical people possesses unique individual talents and synergies with one another.
Interested participants can pre-register on the game's official website. Developers also offer some excellent benefits based on the amount of players that pre-register. Until now, it looks that over 1 million players have pre-registered for Age of Empires Mobile, which is a significant milestone.
With the announcement of the launch date, the incentives for the 2 to 3 million pre-registered gamers will most likely be unlocked until October 17. This means that a new hero, Cleopatra VII, will be available to gamers, along with a unique frame.
