Messenger is one of the most widely used communication technologies among customers. According to Meta, customers spend more than 7 billion minutes every day on Facebook and Messenger calls. Meta revealed numerous new features for the Messenger Calling experience. Some of these features are the most popular with users.

Meta now allows users to generate AI backgrounds for video conversations. For example, if a user is attending a birthday party call, they can use AI to create a birthday-themed background and use it throughout the session. Users can create a personalised AI background by tapping the effects symbol in the video call sidebar and selecting "Backgrounds."

HD video calls are one of Messenger's most popular features. Meta has now responded by adding HD video calls capabilities, as well as background noise suppression and voice isolation, to improve the video calling experience on Messenger.

Meta is also setting HD video calls as the default option for WiFi calls. Users can also enable HD for video calls made over cellular data by accessing call options and selecting the new "Mobile data for HD video" option. The background noise reduction and voice isolation functions can be enabled and disabled using the same call settings.

Messenger will finally support audio and video messages. If the call recipient is not accessible, users can now leave an audio or video message. Users can send audio or video messages by simply clicking the new "Record message" button.

Meta now allows Messenger iOS users to ask Siri to send messages through Messenger. Users can send messages by saying, "Hey Siri, send a message to Alex on Messenger," and then dictating the message text.

With these new features and enhancements, Messenger users can expect a more fun and efficient calling experience on the platform.
